I've had this tank up and running since spring 2014 for my plakat betta, Xerxes, on my desk right nest to the monitor. Its been a live planted tank and had sevearl re-scapes but I've always enjoyed it and still do! Very peaceful to just stare off into the tank and watch the plants sway gently from water flow, and betta explore (or try to beg for more food). Its a prefect size , not too small and limit options for it (many live plants work great in this size tank) but no too big/bulk to be awkward. I know my betta has definitely enjoyed the swim room it gives even with so many plant in there! Silicone work is extremely clean and minimal (it puts mr.aqua tanks to shame!) and glass is beautifully clear. No scratches on the glass even with rocks and sand being pushed against it from past rescapes. When it first arrived it was so well packed there was no possibility of damage from transit.
Since this houses a betta, and because I don't want to top of from evaporation this tank has a DIY lid from polycarbonate (does not bow like acrylic sheets of the same thickness would) which lays ontop- no fancy hinging done but its works great for me.
I've enjoy this tank so much it fueled my MTS (multi tank syndrome: a non curable condition where an aquarium hobbyist finds themselves wanting and ultimately buying/setting up more and more tanks... its not a bad thing to have^^)) that last fall actually I wanted another tank from here.. I almost got another of these cubes but decided to try out the bowfront instead ... its on the other side of my monitor from the cube ^^
Pros:Durable, high clarity, extremely minimal/clean silicone work, perfect packing job, quick shipping
