Is the undergravel filter the standard type or reverse flow? Basically does it pull water down through the gravel, or push it up through from below?
What are the dimensions of the opening in the back of the hood? I'm trying to determine if an AquaClear 20 HOB filter will fit through the opening.
Is there a filler panel to fill the opening in the back of the hood if I don't put a HOB filter there?
Is the upper plastic rim of the tank siliconed in place? I've had a few Marineland tanks that leaked from the bottom of the upper rim if the water level was high enough to just barely hide it behind the rim.

The under-gravel filter on this glass aquarium is the standard type that flows from underneath the gravel and out of the lily return pipe. The dimensions on the back of the hood are as follows: 5-7/8 inches wide x 2 inches deep x 1.5 tall. Please note that the rim of the tank is stepped down and then out approximately Ľ inches. There is not a filler panel that completely closes the back space of the hood but there is hinged piece that gives the hood a flush look from the front and sides. The rim of the tank is silicone sealed, and you shouldn’t have any issues running your tank water up to it. We do advise that you keep the water level a little bit lower than the rim.
