Questions and Answers: By Danny from USA on December 21, 2011 How do you adjust the temperature on this aquarium digital heater? By Customer Service on December 21, 2011Answer:To set the temperature lower you must click the button on top to take the temp higher and then after 92 degrees it will start again at lowest temp of 67 and you can increment from there.By steve from RI on January 5, 2013 can this heater be mounted horizontally By Customer Service on January 9, 2013Answer:Hello Steve,
Some Aquatop customers choose to mount their heaters horizontally; however, we recommend mounting the aquarium heater vertically to ensure there is no added stress on the cord.

By todd from Indianapolis, IN on September 10, 2012 Is this heater fully submersible? I want to place it in my sump. How long is the temp. reader cord? Is it long enough to go back up to the tank or would it have to go in the sump? Not sure if the sump is the best place to read the temp? By Customer Service on September 14, 2012Answer:Greetings Todd,
We have received your recent email regarding a D2HT-450. Each D2HT heater is fully submersible and can be mounted horizontally of vertically. A sump is a good place to install the heater. The temperature sensor in approximately 6" inches long. If the heater is installed in a sump the temperature probe will not reach the aquarium.

Good but expensive
November 26, 2012
The heater is easy to use. Two digital readouts large and
clear. Is several inches shorter than most 300W heaters. Keeps
temperature accurate within one degree. Bad- Instructions say must
be placed vertically
Pros:Very easy to use, Effective
Cons:Poor Value

Stabalized temperature

We had 2 300 watt heaters used together, &
seperataley. Couldn't stabalize temp in our 125 gallon Cichlid
tank. Tried together, seperatley, adjusting temp. Always too hot,
unplug in day, plug back in at night. Bought this unit problem
solved.
Pros:Durable, Good Value, Effective, Safe, Easy to Use

TruAqua ROCKS !!!!!
March 16, 2012
The unit itself is super simplistic to use, with one
button operation. It looks fantastic in the tank. The large LED
display is easy enough to read from 12ft away. This is my second, a
replacement for a faulty unit. Hopefully an isolated
incident.
Pros:Looks good, Effective, Good Value, Easy to Use

Awesome!
March 15, 2012
I use this on a 72" 125 gallon African cichlid tank and
it works like a charm. I have a 3D background and I have it
situated behind it and the temp sensor in front of the background.
Along with ample circulation, this keeps the whole tank within 1
degree of the setting. No more worrying with the "dial" heaters,
this works like a charm, I highly suggest it and the price can't be
beat!
Pros:Easy to Use, Effective, Good Value, Safe, Durable

For the price this is the best heater I have ever owned.
The digital display though I thought was unessesary makes it much
easier to set the temp right where you want it. I opted for the
450W wich is more than enough to handle my 125 with 30 gal sump.
Highly recomended.
Pros:Effective, Good Value, Easy to Use

BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK
January 28, 2012
This heater is priced well, I use it in my 150 gal reef
to keep it at a constant 79 degrees with no fluctuation in
temperature. I like the led technology easy to read no guessing if
your a degree off just set and forget it. Suction cups are just ok.
Other than that this is a great heater and I highly recommend
anyone who is looking for a heater or a replacement don't pass this
one up.

AQUATOP Digital Heater
The D2HT Dual Digital Display Heater from AQUATOP
By David Lass, Aquarium Fish Int'l Magazine, December 2011
The new digital heater from Aquatop Aquatic Supplies includes a number of features and benefits;it is an excellent aquarium heater.
CLAIMS: Aquatop claims that the heater is easy to use and will maintain the aquarium
temperature correctly.
TESTS: I tested a 300-Watt Aquatop Digital Heater on a 50-gallon planted tank. Over a few
weeks, I raised the water temperature by 2 degrees every other day and then lowered it 2
degrees, going from 70 to 80 degrees Farenheit and back down.
RESULTS: The heater performed perfectly. I confirmed each adjustment with two thermometers
in the tank. the display on the heater clearly shows the set temperature and the actual
temperature. It is easy to turn the heater on and off, and to make temperature adjustments.
The heater itself is well-made, with suction cups for mounting it to the glass. I especially
like that it has integrated temperature probe that is mounted 6 inches or so from the heater,
which I think is more accurate than relying on having the sensor within the heater itself.
CONCLUSION: The Aquatop Aquatic Supplies Digital Heater is an excellent piece of equipment,
and I encourage hobbyists to use it. It is easy to use, accurate to within 1 degree, well-made
and sturdy.
