I have a UVFK-9 uv pump.
How can I tell if the UV light is working or not?
By Customer Service on May 23, 2012
We have received your recent product inquiry regarding a UVFK-9. You should be able to see that the UV Bulb is on through the housing, especially where the filter basket meets the pump motor housing. There should be a clear plastic ring that illuminates when the bulb is on. It may be easier to view at night. If you do not see any light, you may need to unplug the unit and remove the filter basket and quartz UV Bulb sleeve to check to see if the UV Bulb has a loose connection.
If you have any additional questions please do not hesitate to ask.

What is the head lift on water (how high can water be pumped)?
By Customer Service on June 21, 2012
We have received your recent product inquiry regarding the UVFK-9. The UVFK-9 is not intended to pump a tremendous amount of water vertically therefore we do not have nor include Max Head Pressure Specifications. The unit includes a fountain kit with four different fountain pieces. Each fountain piece will display a different type of water feature.
Would you please tell us a little more about the intended application of the unit?

Answer:Hello Again Crystal,
We decided to test out a UVFK-9. Our findings indicate the max head is approximately 4.5'. At 4.5' there is virtually no water flow. Anything higher than 4.5' yields zero water flow.
Hope this helps.
